Queensferry Crossing

The Queensferry Crossing sits within a beautiful bridge-scape representing three centuries of bridge innovation. It is the UK’s tallest bridge and the world’s longest three-tower, cable-stayed bridge.

British Antarctic Survey

Appointed by NERC as Technical Advisors to BAS (British Antarctic Survey), Ramboll is providing specialist engineering and consultancy services for seven years. Delivering a host of projects in the Antarctic region and in the UK, BAS and its Technical Advisors are preparing for one of the world’s most advanced Polar research ships - the RRS Sir David Attenborough (SDA), which will be ready for operation in 2019.

Tate Modern

Officially opened on the 17th June 2016 the new Tate Modern extension is an iconic world-class addition to London’s skyline. The ground breaking Tate Modern extension pushes the boundaries of modern design and engineering. From its one-of-a-kind geometric structure to its striking brick façade, every facet of this building has been planned and engineered with staggering accuracy.

Thameslink: Bermondsey Dive Under

A vital section of the Thameslink rail line is being rebuilt at Bermondsey Dive Under in London and includes track and infrastructure work to increase traffic. The project also includes sustainability and urban regeneration aspects.

Heat from the London metro is used for additional heating of 500 households

Heating up London

Find out how to supply heat to an additional 500 dwellings in central London. That was the task that Ramboll was commissioned with by Islington Borough Council. Now the results of this ground breaking study are available. They confirm that the 850 dwellings already connected to the district heating system in central London can be extended to 1350 by adding an innovative low-carbon heat source.

Hammersmith Flyover - Phase 2 refurbishment and strengthening (HFO2)

This unique bridge project has the potential to change the way we think about future refurbishment of similar concrete structures. A full new prestress was installed without removing the original.
