Charles McBeath

Charles McBeath joined the practice in 1993 and was appointed Partner in 1998, Director in 2000 and
Director with joint responsibility for all structural and civil engineering groups, 2006.

Charles is Ramboll’s first UK Managing Director. He leads the drive for quality across the UK business,
strengthening our multi-disciplinary resources for our clients. He works to ensure the UK operation optimises its position within the Ramboll global network, contributing technical knowledge and sharing expertise with our clients on a local level. In this, he is keenly aware of the mix of professional and personal qualities that characterise a dynamic company which is enjoyable and rewarding to work in.

He maintains close contact with clients and design teams to ensure optimum standards of service. With the progressive incorporation of new skills and service areas, his emphasis on excellence relates both to the Ramboll design brand and to delivery in all aspects of work.

Charles is a clear communicator and an excellent team player, closely concerned with identifying evolving service requirements and feeding these into Ramboll practice. His wide range of contacts throughout the industry enable him to be part of a wider dialogue, in which the skills and resources of Ramboll engineering can be brought to bear on world environmental problems as well as project-specific issues.
