Gareth DaviesBEng CEng MIStructEDirector Curriculum VitaeGareth Davies joined the practice in 1999, becoming an Associate Director in 2005 and a Director in 2006. Gareth is responsible for Ramboll UK's work in the London region. He leads structural design teams responsible for new build and refurbishment projects of all sizes in the retail, commercial and residential sectors. He particularly enjoys teamwork with architects and consultants interested in setting and solving creative challenges. His background in the engineering of buildings with historic fabric has proved ideal for complex regeneration projects — where buildability factors such as minimal disturbance to existing structure, restricted access and speed of construction are very important. The potential for integration of development projects into the wider social structure of communities fascinates him. He has contributed his experience of this process to the design of large scale retail projects in the UK such as St David's 2, Cardiff and Festival Place, Basingstoke. On smaller projects, he enjoys the challenges of intricate detail work. Gareth chairs Ramboll UK's Investors in People and Sustainability task groups, and he contributes to the continued internal development of the practice. CONTACT Gareth Davies |
