Changes to the ventilation design bring the immersion tunnel proposal for the Fehmarnbelt crossing between Denmark and Germany back into contention by lowering the construction costs. Authorities are considering the tunnel proposal and a bridge proposal for the road/rail link. The tunnel joint venture team is made up of Arup, Ramboll and TEC , with the last two designing the tunnel.
