The project is a good example of two Ramboll companies combining their strengths to create a winning formula. Ramboll UK is responsible for the concept and detailed design and Ramboll Estonia is preparing the construction documentation and handling site monitoring — bringing together the UK's expertise in conceptual design and Ramboll Estonia's local knowledge of procurement and local design standards. Working with BIG Architects once againBIG Architects of Copenhagen won an international competition last year for the design for Tallinn Town Hall. Its form is intended to create a "porous and airy village of public services" and a "complex and diverse ensemble" that makes the most of available views of the Medieval buildings of Tallinn and provides a feeling of accessibility to the public.
