While the marathon is a serious athletic event, it is also a large, celebratory sporting festival dominated by fun runners and charity fundraising. The Ramboll UK team are running on behalf of The Esther Benjamin’s Trust, a charity that works to rescue and rehabilitate Nepali child trafficking victims who have been bonded into a life of labour in India’s circuses. Between them they hope to raise a total of £9000 for the Trust. The Ramboll Foundation has charitably decided to sponsor the team with an amount of DKK 50,000 (£5,930) helping them to reach a current fundraising total of just over £8000. Runner Nick Eglinton commented: “The generous support from the Ramboll Foundation has boosted team motivation ahead of Sunday. It’s great to know we have supporters from across the group, reinforcing the one company attitude.” If you would like to show your support for the team and help them reach their fundraising target, then please click on this link to make a donation www.justgiving.com/RambollLondonMarathon
