Energy management
We provide tailor-made energy management systems that consist of procedures, plans and energy-efficiency activities to help optimise energy resource use. Our clients for this service include industrial enterprises and housing associations as well as many other types of organisations — all can expect to save between 10% and 25% on total energy consumption. Energy management systems are based on the same as environmental and quality management systems, so are easily integrated.
Energy strategies
Ramboll's work in renewable energy strategies focuses on general mechanisms for use in the promotion of renewal energy generally, demonstration projects and information campaigns. We also work on strategies for economical development in the heating and power sectors for national agencies and large utilities. At a national level, we can help with mechanisms for the promotion of energy efficiency, looking at financial incentives and other ways to overcome barriers to efficiency.
Our work includes urban heat planning, the development of parallel district heating and natural gas networks. We design and deliver least-cost solutions: for example, the zoning of individual districts for suitable cost-efficient heat forms within a larger system (selected from district heating, block heating, individual natural gas or individual heat pumps). We also develop strategies for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of worn-out facilities and can advise on tariff reform.
Combined Heat & Power (CHP) and district heating strategies cover both the infrastructure for heating and cooling as well as heat production options.
